Sacred Heart, Never Ending... / Corazón sagrada...al fin by Jerry Hopkins-Velarde. Made in 2018, this colcha embroidery is worked in natural-dye churro wool on the artist's mother's well-worn cotton/linen dishtowel.

"This tells a story about my mother, her practicality, the importance of sacred heart to me, how running out of room on the fabric was the only thing that stopped my stitches; How colcha was used to mend as well as embellish, and how my stories and memories are never ending."
